Dabu Print!!

Hello, my Four Sides TV Fashion Fam! In Rajasthan, dabu printing is regarded as a kind of traditional hand-block printing sculpture. Rajasthani artisans use a blend of desert sands known as "Dabu" to create mud-resist material. This unusual kind of art is applied to fabric to create block prints using mud colours. Dabu prints are typically used today to adorn classic, archetypal clothing and house accents. In order to create a resist pattern on the fabric, a mixture of mud and other natural materials is used. The fabric is then dyed with indigo or other natural dyes. The desired pattern is carved onto a wooden block, which is then used to apply the mud mixture on the fabric.
